The organizations choose a panel of evaluators, usually from their senior management team, to evaluate the apprentices using the 1-9 scale for the following general and technical competencies both initially and after every quarter. These measures are recorded in the apprentice\u2019s Record of Progress and submitted quarterly to the NATS website and evaluated by the regional BOAT\/BOPT office. What this means is that in reality, any NATS apprenticeship and corresponding CoP that follows it are built on both an assessment of soft skills and the mastery of a specific domain rather than just accomplishment of certain tasks.
